Class D integrated amplifier: The AudioControl Bijou 600 is a compact, high-powered Class D amplifier that delivers over 100 watts of power x 2 channels into 8 ohms and 200 watts x 2 channels into 4 ohm loads. It can also act as a mono-block amplifier, delivering 400 watts x 1 channel into 8 ohms.

Wolfson DAC: The AudioControl Bijou 600 integrated amplifier features a built-in, high-performance Wolfson DAC (digital-to-analog converter) that has been specifically designed to provide great performance high sound quality.

AccuBASS Circuitry: Equipped with AudioControl's unique patented AccuBASS circuitry, the Bijou 600 rejuvenates the bass response lost in most digital audio compressed music files. AudioControl's AccuBASS circuit helps recover the bass that goes missing in compressed music files, or when volume is increased and the bass frequencies roll away. The result is a richer and fuller audio performance with better bass and midbass response.

Low Pass & High Pass Crossovers: The Bijou 600 features a built-in Low Pass Crossover for its mono-subwoofer output and a High Pass Crossover for its speaker outputs. The 80Hz high pass crossover filter allows the main speakers to play the range above 80 Hz, while the 80Hz low pass crossover filter sends the frequency range below 80Hz to a connected powered subwoofer. The crossovers help take the strain off your main speakers if they can't reproduce the low frequency range, plus it conserves amplifier power.

Analog Line-Level Inputs: The AudioControl Bijou 600 is equipped with a stereo analog RCA line-level input for connection of an external audio source with analog line-level outputs, such as a CD player, tape-deck, or tuner. There is a High-Gain switch for the analog line-level input which provides an addition 10dB gain to help with analog source that a very low signal output.

Optical & Coaxial Digital Inputs: The Bijou 600 is outfitted with two optical (toslink) and two coaxial (RCA) digital inputs for connection of audio components and devices with a digital audio output such as TVs, satellite/cable boxes, Blu-ray players and game systems. One optical and one coaxial digital input share a digital audio input for a total of two selectable digital inputs (you cannot use all four). The optical and coaxial digital inputs will accept stereo 2ch PCM audio signal (up to 24-bit/192kHz). The digital inputs do not support Dolby Digital, DTS, or other multichannel audio formats.

Euroblock Speaker Output Terminals: The Bijou 600 is outfitted with a detachable 4-pin euroblock speaker output terminal that will accept bare wire (up to 12AWG). The binding post terminals are gold-plated for excellent signal transfer and resistance to corrosion. You can connect one pair of 8 ohm or 4 ohm loudspeakers, or you can connect two pair of 8 ohm loudspeakers. In mono-block mode, you can connect a single 8 ohm loudspeaker.

Bridged Mono Out: This mono-RCA line-level output is used to send the right channel output of the Bijou 600 to the analog input of another Bijou 600 amplifier that is also set in Bridged Mono mode and is powering your right speaker. The output is a copy of the right channel of the currently-selected input, and it is affected by the volume level, AccuBASS level, and the 80Hz low pass crossover. The first Bijou 600 amplifier acts as the Main unit where all source connections and volume adjustments are made. The second Bijou 600 amp is the Link unit, and receives the right channel analog line-level signals from the Main unit.

Mono-Subwoofer Output: The AudioControl Bijou 600 amplifier features a mono-RCA sub-woofer output for connection of a powered subwoofer. The mono-subwoofer output contains a low-pass crossover filter that can be set to 80Hz @ 18dB per octave or Full-Range.

Headphone Jack: The Bijou 600 offers a rear-panel 1/8" (3.5mm) headphone jack for connection of a set of headphones, so you can privately listen to your music. The headphone jack does not sense the connection of a set of headphones, allowing you to keep your headphones connected at all times. You will need to turn on the headphone output from the remote control. Once the headphone out is activated, the amplifier's speaker outputs and preouts will be muted.

IR Remote Control: The Bijou 600 comes with an IR remote control to provide wireless operation for the the integrated amplifier. Remote control functions include Power On/Off, Input Select (1-2-3), Volume Up/Down, Mute, and AccuBASS On/Off. The Bijou 600 can also learn commands (such as Volume Up/Down and Input Select) from a universal IR remote control. The IR input (3.5mm) and IR output (3.5mm) of the Bijou 600 allow for the amplifier to be installed out of the line-of-sight and to be integrated with a 3rd party control system (sold separately - see Accessories Tab).

RS232 Control: This 3-pin serial connection allows for computer of the amplifier using RS232 communication. AudioControl has created a full set of  RS232 codes for use by installers and programmers. The codes are available at  AudioControl's website. The 3-pins are configured as Pin1 = RX (RS232 receive), Pin2 = Ground, and Pin3 = TX (R232 transmit).

12V Trigger In: The 12V Trigger input (3.5mm) allows the Bijou 600 to be remotely turned on by a 12 VDC trigger voltage from a connected source with a 12V trigger output. The unit will stay on as long as 12 VDC is applied

Sleep Mode: The Bijou 600 integrated amplifier will automatically go into Standby mode if an audio signal is not detected after approximately 8 minutes. It will come back on when an audio signal is detected.

Protection Circuitry: The Bijou 600 will protect itself if it experiences an unusually large power surge, overheats, or experiences a short in the speaker wires or the speakers. The protection circuit helps prevent damage to the Bijou 600 and speakers. Turning down the volume or turning the unit off will help the unit to cool down and resume normal playback. A flashing red LED on the front of the amp indicates that the unit is operating at its "current limit" and in danger of going into protection.

Detachable AC Power Cord: The Bijou 600 comes with a detachable 68" AC power cord (IEC 2-prong) that will need to be plugged into the back of the integrated amplifier and into an AC power outlet or surge protector (sold separately - see Accessories Tab).
